I think publicly ‘debating’ with bigoted and problematic figures and going on their shows and podcasts to do so literally has no benefit, all it does it give them more publicity, views and controversy which their fanbase loves. and honestly it’s demeaning to even acknowledge them as if it’s a topic worth debating over. like how are you as a woman meeting up with some men to discuss whether you deserve human rights? it’s degrading and insulting, why waste your breath on people who will never respect you or anything you have to say. engaging with them in this way gives them more legitimacy, wheras ignoring them completely would be more powerful
